Stickwick Manor – 7 bed, sleeps 12 + 3 cots (6 bathrooms, 4 ensuite)
A unique opportunity to enjoy the splendour of this Grade II listed property with grand reception rooms and spacious bedrooms (some with huge window seats) and two with slipper baths in the bedrooms. Set over 3 floors the property has charm and elegance. The dining room with grand mahogany dining table (seats 12) in front of a walk-in inglenook fire place; with additional tables the dining room can seat 24 and offers a special atmosphere for any meal/special occasion.
Stickwick Farmhouse – 3 bed, sleeps 7 + 2 cots (2 bathrooms, 1 ensuite)
Originally the servant quarters to the Manor; the property oozes farmhouse character with original window shutters, dressers and exposed beams. The wood burning fires provide a real country atmosphere.
(Farmhouse and Manor can interconnect to sleep 19 across 10 bedrooms, with 8 bathrooms, 5 enuite)
Stickwick Cottage – 2 bed, sleeps 5 + cot (2 bathrooms, 1 ensuite)
Adjoins the Manor and provides cosy period property with exposed beams and country style furnishings.
All three properties together offer sleeping for 24 plus cots across 12 bedrooms with 10 bathrooms (6 ensuite)
Facilities on site: The farm is set up with children in mind, with huge play lawn ideal for ball games, alongside swings, slide and sand pit. The Play Barn provides facilities for all ages with ride on toys, dressing up box, tent, bats and balls, books, puzzles and DVDs. For the older children, board games, table tennis, pool table and darts offer a get opportunity for competition with family members.
Come and visit the animals any time of day; rabbits, ducks, chickens goats (Billy and Jeffery) and our 3 friendly donkeys (Rocky, Max and Duke) that love a carrot or apple. For those budding young farmers, come and help feed these animals plus our pigs and even see the lambing in the spring. The wellie library ensures all to get involved, whatever the weather. Richard loves to meet families, get children involved and answer questions about farming and countryside.
Our wooded valley offers a tranquil secluded oasis of nature with wild flowers, bird song and babbling brook. A great opportunity to explore the natural world and even build a den.
The onsite farm shop offers farm reared meats including sausages, bacon and burgers, local ice cream, chutneys, honey and preserves. Even order a freshly baked cake or cream tea for your arrival. Quality cook from frozen ready meals ensures Mum gets a night off. The quaint village pub is within walking distance; is child/ pet friendly and offers great value simple meals.
Talking of burgers, why not enjoy the ‘Toasting Shack’- “where friends and mashmellows get toasted together” our new rustic outdoor kitchen with gas bbq and fire pit offers a real experience in cooking on a fire whilst watching the sun set and stars appear above in crystal clear skies. A real memory maker.
Extras:
High quality wooden drop sided cots, high chairs are available along with stair gates and fire guards to ensure the whole family can relax and enjoy their stay.
To help save room in the car we can also provide many extras, such as a hand blenders, steriliser, baby monitor, bed guards, 3 wheeler buggy, baby bath, and back pack, black out blinds (although most rooms have black out curtains), toddler crockery, bouncer chair, change mats, and much more, all at no extra charge.
Washers, dryers and available in each property ensuring you children can enjoy the countryside without the worry of running out of clothes.
