Lower Hookner Barn
An idyllic rural smallholding, 20 minutes from Bovey Tracey, with direct access on to the moor via The Two Moors Way, yet within easy access of Moretonhampstead, Chagford, and Exeter. Dog friendly, non-smoking, peaceful haven!
Lower Hookner Barn can be found at the end of a quiet lane, that in turn leads to The Two Moors Way. It is an idyllic setting, with no light pollution so the stars at night are awesome!
We have a ground floor bedroom which can be used as either a double (super-king) bed, or set up as twin beds. This room is accessed via its own patio garden, and also has its own ensuite shower room. In addition, guests have sole use of a cosy living room which comes complete with Sky TV and log burner. Well behaved dogs are welcome, however please note that we are surrounded by livestock so dogs to be kept on leads please. Let us know at the time of booking whether you plan to bring your dog with you, so we can make sure he/she also has a bed waiting!
Please note that we do not allow smoking on the premises.
Permanent residents of Lower Hookner Barn also include our two dogs, Missy and Wiglet, our horse, Geoffrey, three bantams and several hens (who provide the eggs for your breakfast!).
Breakfast is of course included in your room rate (outlined below). Evening meals and packed lunches are also available if booked in advance and at additional cost.

£80 per night for the room, complete with your own bathroom, garden and living room as outlined above
£5 per packed lunch
£15 per person for a two course evening meal
