Dolphin Hotel
The Dolphin Hotel was built in the late C19 as a coaching and posting house. Today The Dolphin has 8 en suite letting rooms, a bar/restaurant seating up to 100 people and a fully air conditioned function room with a public entertainment license up to 140 people and is ideally located at the gateway to the moors.
The letting accommodation comprises of 1 single room, 3 double rooms, 3 twin-bedded rooms and a family room which has a double bed and bunk beds. Our competative rates include full English breakfast to start your day off right.
In the bar/restaurant we offer an extensive menu which includes traditional dishes, Cod, chips & mushy peas for example which is a firm favourite with our clientele. We also offer a special board to tempt the more adveturous and this is changed on a weekly basis.
The Dolphin Suite, our function room, is an ideal venue for weddings, dinner dances, conferences and meetings. We have a license to accommodate up to 140 in this room which has it's own bar and is fully air conditioned.
Robert & Lisa Phillips, the resident proprietors, have owned and personally run the Dolphin for the last 27 years and look forwrd to greeting customers old and new.
