Bovey Paradiso is delighted to host an evening with Take 4, an East Devon based Jazz quartet at the Whisky Distillery. Take 4 offer a fun and engaging performance of good time music - a highly accessible mix of swing, blues and jazz. The band play some wonderful tunes from the classic era of the 40s and 50s along with more modern jazz standards intermingled with their own interpretations of film and TV music. Chat and vocal numbers add a bit of fun! From the familiar chords of the opening of Duke Ellington's "Take the A train" to the very appropriate dreamy tune of Gershwin's "Summertime", which closed the concert, we enjoyed 14 tunes from every era from the blues and gospel music to film and TV music.
