It was her own meandering career path, first as a teacher, then as an artist, astrologer and dabbler in antiques, which led to the creation of her heroine, Juno Browne, amateur sleuth and reluctant antique-shop owner, and her eclectic selection of friends. Since then, seven Juno Browne novels have been published, with the eighth on its way. Stephanie lives in Ashburton with her husband.
